Conference in Honor of Vernon Smith

December 7-8, 2007
Tucson, Arizona
University of Arizona

The Economic Science Lab and the Eller College of Management are pleased to announce a Conference in Honor of Vernon Smith's Eightieth Birthday with the theme Exchange Mechanisms and Auctions, to be held in Tucson on Friday Dec. 7 and Saturday Dec. 8, 2007. In keeping with the tradition of the Economic Science Lab, the emphasis will be on the interaction between theory and experiments.

The program committee welcomes submissions of theoretical and experimental papers. Financial support will be provided to presenters. Since we can accommodate only a very limited number of papers, we anticipate being highly selective in accepting papers.

Advanced graduate students interested in presenting their work during a poster session are also invited to submit a paper for consideration and $500 will be provided towards travel expenses for presenters. Students should have their main advisor submit a brief letter of recommendation on their behalf to jwooders@eller.arizona.edu.

Program Committee: John Wooders (Chair), Martin Dufwenberg, Cathleen Johnson, and David Reiley.
